National Instruments VXIpc-486 Model 200 Embedded Computer

Featured with an integrated 20 MHz Microprocessor, the National Instruments VXIpc-486 Model 200 is a Single-Slot, C-Size VXI Controller. The NI VXIpc-486 is a high-performance VXIbus system platform developed on the ISA. This Embedded Computer can be installed in any compatible VXI mainframe to construct the smallest VXI system by size. Due to its modular design, the NI VXIpc-486 can be deployed and operated in various combinations with an internal floppy disk drive, internal hard disk drive, and I/O expansion kits.

This Embedded Computer requires 1 VXIbus slot. In its default configuration or factory configuration, the Model 200 Series Controllers are designed to function as system controllers. Thus, a factory-configured NI VXIpc-486 can be deployed in slot 0 of a VXI chassis. However, users can make alterations in the configuration by changing the jumper settings according to their system requirements. This VXI Controller is fully compatible with Microsoft DOS/Windows and you can access all its internal hardware resources through an appropriate driver.

The National Instruments VXIpc-486 Model 200 comes equipped with various front panel indicators to keep users informed about the operating state or any persisting faults. Moreover, multiple connectors are provided on the front panel. These connectors include a keyboard connector, VGA connector, COM 1 and COM 2 connector, IEEE 488 connector, LPT connector, and Trigger Input connector. The availability of a subminiature DHD22 VGA connector enables this Embedded Computer to connect with a standard monitor.

VXIpc-486 Model 200 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the embedded computer will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
